This worksop is ideal for those who would like to "immerse themselves" in touring life. Three days, three shows and a poster session with the artists.

We have planned the following process:

Day 1:

Meet at 4 p.m. on site. We talk about tips and tricks in concert photography and I answer all questions. We look at sample pictures together and I explain the different situations on stage.

From 8 p.m., the whole show can be photographed under my guidance - I can promise: a fireworks display of dynamism. Everyone has the opportunity to record from the front as well as from the stage.

The end is probably around 10 p.m.

Day 2:

We'll meet in the morning. By then, all photos should be read into your own computer and an initial review should be completed. Together we will sift through the photos and analyze the errors. The band will join them and give their first feedback here. A selection of the images are processed on site, where Guido and his assistant give Lightroom instructions and show how the images are processed at GKP.

Then the show is photographed again and the errors corrected, or you have the opportunity to concentrate on an exact motif.

Day 3:

In the morning they meet to view the picture. Later the band will join and there will be an exclusive shooting with the artists from Thundermother in the location for the participants.

The material is viewed and edited. Here, too, Guido will explain and show his type of editing.

Then there is another chance to photograph the show.

After the event, each participant can send in their best 20 shots. After the tour there is an extensive anonymous evaluation of all photos by me and the band. In this way, all participants not only get very direct feedback on their own work - they also see how they fare in a direct comparison "with the competition" (the other participants under the same conditions). The closing date for photos is November 30th.

The workshop covers all facets of the work of a touring photographer

• theoretical basics, basic settings of the camera

• View of earlier concert photos and from Guido to explain why we were photographed.

• Discussion of the task

• Editing and creation of the image data

• Photographing 3 shows

• Get-together with the band to show the first pictures and feedback from the band on the photos

• Taking pictures during the band shoot during the day on day 3

• Submission of the 20 best photos, comments by Guido (after the tour)

• anonymous PDF book with all participant photos, so that you can see yourself in direct comparison to others

The photos taken must be approved by the band Thundermother before any non-commercial publication.

Equipment: bright lenses, own computer to download the pictures taken.
